Antique Tenor Resonator Ukulele
In a world of mass production, I like to offer Ukulele players a choice of quality, beauty and craftsmanship to inspire the music in them.
This Tenor Ukulele has an Antiqued finish on its Brass Body and Copper Cover plate. The body edge has been rolled to give a nice rounded, comfortable feel to this Ukulele. A feature really seen on other lesser instruments. All the sound holes have been hand cut by myself, with jewellers saws and the two top bout ones are backed with mesh.
The Strings are secured by a Trapeze style holder, this Brass and wood detail sets Mattsen Guitars apart in craftsmanship and the Waverly machine tuners, the Worlds best, show that I don’t compromise on quality.
The Neck has been carved from Mahogany and veneered with a Ebony fingerboard and Burl Maple Headstock. Beautifully Lacquered with a smooth feel. I have inlayed Brass for the position markers and Headstock detail. No stickers here.
A pickup has been fitted so this Ukulele is ready for those times when things get loud.
The sound of this Ukulele is, loud and clear. Check out the sound clip below.
